Seasoned Professionals
Fondations Capital was set up in 2007 by Xavier Marin and Philippe Renauld, as an independent Private Equity firm. The two founding partners are recognised investment professionals with over 40 years of Private Equity and related experience in Europe. They have assembled a team of experienced and talented professionals coming from leading Private Equity and advisory institutions.
Prominent experience
Prior to founding Fondations Capital, the founding partners were senior investment professionals at Eurazeo. During their tenure at Eurazeo, they sourced, led or were substantially involved in Private Equity investments representing approximately €2.0 billion of equity investment and an aggregate transaction value of c. €9.0 billon.
Distinct investment style
The founding partners have a recognised experience of partnering with management teams to transform portfolio companies. Their value creation approach is primarily based on ambitious internal and external growth strategies, as well as through the implementation of operational improvement plans.
Furthermore, they benefit from a distinct experience in structuring and arranging financing packages, which have enabled the implementation of creative and sometimes pioneering capital structures for portfolio companies. These have resulted in highly competitive cost of financing as well as in innovative and flexible means to support the development of portfolio companies.
Through a hands-on, collaborative and responsible shareholder approach, portfolio companies have developed positive corporate cultures and labour-management relations. In prior investments, this has led to achieving full buy-in by management teams and employees and sustainable growth for portfolio companies, with such internal positive momentum being a business edge.
