Xavier MARIN, Chief Executive Officer
Xavier Marin is a founding partner of Fondations Capital and its Chief Executive Officer.
From 2002 to 2007, Xavier Marin was a member of the executive board and co-head of investments of Eurazeo. While at Eurazeo, Xavier was Chairman of Europcar, Chairman of the supervisory board of B&B Hotels, a member of the supervisory boards of Fraikin and Rexel and Vice-Chairman of the supervisory board of APCOA. He was also a member of the board of Euraleo, the private equity joint-venture set up between Eurazeo and Banca Leonardo in Italy.
Before joining Eurazeo, Xavier Marin had a 15-year career in mergers & acquisitions advisory at Salomon, Credit Suisse First Boston and Barings in New York, London and Paris. He began his career in 1981 in corporate finance at Chase.
Xavier Marin holds an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School, is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP) and has a law degree from the University of Paris II. He is a former French Navy officer.
